Jeremy was born and raised in the Metro-Detroit area and raised in a Christian home, and from an early age had a strong desire to serve Christ and his kingdom. Jeremy met his wife Heather as a student at a small Bible college in North Carolina. After graduation in 2001, now married and blessed with three boys (Robert, Zacharias, and Haddon), moved to Mar del Plata, Argentina to serve as church planting missionaries. There Jeremy and Heather participated in a variety of ministry roles, from pastoral to outreach and teaching. After four years serving Christ in South America, they moved back to the Detroit area with a heart and desire see a new church planted in the heart of the city. Jeremy and family helped plant Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Detroit. He loves spending time with his wife and kids, riding his bike around the city, and cheering on the Wolverines!

The Scriptures clearly point out deacons as distinct officers in the Church, whose business it is to take care of the poor, and to distribute among them the collections which may be raised for their use.

College Ministry (RUF)

Robert Knuth

Campus Pastor

Robert grew up along the coast of Virginia Beach, VA where he developed such a love for his native state that he decided to attend Washington and Lee University. He graduated from W&L in May of 2014 with a BA in Religion and German. Most importantly though (thanks to RUF), he carried with him a new-found love for the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Robert earned his Masters of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary at Charlotte. Before then, he served for two years as a RUF intern at the University of Georgia. It was during the internship that he met his wife, Katherine, who also served as a RUF intern. Even though she attended Wake Forest University during her undergraduate years, Katherine originally hails from Leland, MI.

After many visits to the Leelanau Peninsula, Robert developed an affection for all things Michigan. From the cold, snowy winters to the abundant access of fresh water lakes in the summertime, the Knuths are absolutely thrilled to live in Ann Arbor and be a part of how God grows His Kingdom up in the “Mitten.”

When Robert is not on campus, you’ll most likely find him taking his son, Peter (July 2018) and daughter, Abigail (December 2019) for a walk in the park. He finds any excuse to play the board game “Settlers of Catan” with friends, or especially on nice days, explore downtown Ann Arbor with Katherine. Go Blue!

Caleb Warner

Campus Intern

Caleb was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but shortly thereafter moved to Warsaw, Indiana, where he grew up. He went through elementary, middle, and high school in Warsaw where he found a passion for loving and serving his Lord, Jesus. After high school, he moved to West Lafayette, Indiana, to attend Purdue University to study computer science. At Purdue, he fell in love with RUF and quickly got involved, serving where he could, learning and growing rapidly in his faith. Now that he has graduated from Purdue, Caleb is getting ready to serve as an RUF intern in Ann Arbor, Michigan, at the University of Michigan. He is pumped to befriend students, walk alongside them, and share his knowledge of Christ with others as he also learns from those he interacts with. In his free time, Caleb enjoys spending time with friends doing anything from watching movies to going to amusement parks, as well as playing drums, disc golf, and enjoying water sports such as skiing and tubing.
