FAQ

Have questions? We have the answers!

WHAT TYPE OF CHURCH ARE WE?

We are a congregation of Reformed believers which seek to glorify God and make Christ known.

Will I feel awkward as a visitor?

We love meeting new people, and we will do everything that we can to make you feel welcome! You won’t be singled out during the service, and we would love to have a chance to talk to you before or after the service.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

You can expect to see around 80 people (undergrads, graduate students, young professional, working adults, retired, and children) at our services. You will find people wearing everything from formal suits to informal jeans, so please come as you are, in whatever clothes you feel most comfortable wearing.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?

When you arrive you can expect to be greeted with warm smiles and an open door. Services begin promptly and there are ushers willing to help you find what you need and answer any questions you might have.

WHAT IS A SERVICE LIKE?

The worship service usually lasts 60-75 minutes. Some Sundays may include additional elements (such as a baptism) which slightly increase the overall length. Our services are easy to follow, and everything is in the program. You can view a recent program here to get a sense for what each service looks like. You can also listen to recent sermons and watch recent livestreamed services here.

When do you celebrate the Lord’s Supper?

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every week. All those who have been baptized and believe in the Triune God, who are members in good standing in a gospel-believing church, and who trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are welcome to partake according to your conscience.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

We are offer nursery however, we enjoy having children in our worship! We believe that your children are a gift from God, rather than a distraction. Jesus said, ‘“Let the children come to me and do not hinder them, for such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Keeping our children in worship as much as possible is one of the best gifts we can give, as they will learn the blessing of worship, and grow in ways we cannot imagine. Feel free to sit where you are comfortable. God put the wiggle in children and that wiggle is welcome in his house. We offer a children’s teaching time during the sermon for ages 3-5, children rejoin for communion.

You can find more information about our ongoing children’s ministry here.
